Cancelled online orders remain in sales and output PPN data when the cancellation status does not flow from the storefront or marketplace into accounting and tax systems. This often occurs when payment, warehouse allocation, invoicing, refund processing, and tax-document issuance are handled by separate applications or teams. An order may be operationally cancelled while its sales journal, receivable, inventory movement, or Faktur Pajak remains active. Some apparent cancellations may instead be returns or partial refunds, which require different accounting analysis.
Linking Cancellation Evidence to Accounting and PPN Records
A cancelled order output PPN correction begins by matching the order ID to the cancellation log, payment status, refund evidence, warehouse release or return record, sales ledger, and relevant Faktur Pajak data. Finance should confirm whether goods were dispatched, delivered, returned, or never fulfilled and whether the customer received a full or partial refund. The original sale and reversal should be linked rather than recording the refund as a general expense or unexplained bank deduction. Output PPN should not be adjusted solely because a marketplace dashboard shows a cancelled status; the appropriate treatment depends on the transaction history, documents, and applicable requirements. Once the facts are established, accounting reversals, inventory restoration, customer balances, and any tax-record changes should be processed consistently in the affected periods.
